Kbox Karaoke @ La Trobe

I was really really bored yesterday, suddenly craving to sing my heart out. So I searched for Karaoke place and found one called : Kbox

It's an Asian type of Karaoke that has English, Japanese, Malay & a bit of Korean songs. Just like what Wayne Rooney said on the website, 'This place is simply amazing' hahaha.
The place is real easy to find, you need to walk up from melb central. Since it was the weekend, they have minimum charge for 3 people, since there's only 2 of us we still paid for 3.
They work like this: 2pm-7pm - $18 per person sing for 5 hours & inclusive 2 drinks. I thought it was really cheap! Night time starts from 8pm-Late & it's $10 per hour.

The room size is pretty decent can fit a lot of ppl but the room is not sound proof, so you can listen to others singing hehehe. The songs lists are extensive, lots of new songs and they add new songs every month. Don't think 5 hours is enough to sing all the songs hehe.
I was so surprised to find a lot of nice/new Korean songs and I picked almost 20 songs ( i think i sang only Korean songs for an hour!).

My husband on the other hand, picked so many love songs ( so jiwang haha) and rap songs. Mula2 malu malu kucing, sekali lagu start haaaa itu dia bakat terpendam gitu! haha

I've enjoyed the 5 hours of singing! No wonder Melbourne hujan the whole day wakaka.
If you live in Melb and feel like karaoke-ing, give this place a try. I can't wait to sing again!!

On a rainy day..

I went berserk with my husband trying to find a cafe called 'Le Cirque'.
It was raining heavily on Saturday, so heavy that my sneaker got so wet!
I knew it was going to rain on Sat, just didn't expect it to rain the whole day!
We bought these vouchers from Zoupon for $14 worth of $30 food & also i wanted to watch Social Network since i bought cheap tix from Scoopon (only $9.95 for the usual $20 of extreme screen!!).

There we were, trying to find the place..going round and round. The website plus google map were so misleading! it gave the wrong direction!!! we felt so stupid walking up and down in the rain ;(
The cafe is actually inside Harbour Town!! DUHHHH!!

So after swearing for a moment, we found the place and ordered our food. Thank godness the food was okay or else there'll be more swearing ;)

Here are pictures of Le Cirque:

OMG!! I've got my tickets to Usher OMG Tour in Melbourne on 19 March 2011. It's 5 months away, I know. When I was in Perth, Usher never came for a concert. Now that I'm in Melb, he decided to include Perth ehehe. This is the link from Ticketek: Usher OMG Tour

Pre-sale is on yesterday till today at 4pm (AEST time). You have to be a member on Frontier Touring website in order to get a password to buy the tickets from Ticketek. I thought of getting my tickets on Monday (public sale starts on Monday) but my hero, that is my husband of course..bought it from Ticketek website. woohoooo!!

The tickets are really pricey, from $98.75 - $795!!! The most expensive ticket is the OMG Package:

OMG - THE ULTIMATE USHER VIP EXPERIENCE
Entry into the "In The Club Zone" or the very best reserved seats
Exclusive Meet & Greet with Usher
Individual Photo opportunity with Usher
Commemorative Autographed Usher OMG Tour photo
Entry into Usher VIP pre-show sound check
Entry into Official Usher VIP Pre-show party, including:

Would you pay AUD795 to see Usher??? I would spend it on a new bag or unless it was Big Bang ehehe. Now I've got 5 months to memorize the songs! OMG!

Festival Malaysia 2010 in Melbourne

Went to Festival Malaysia yesterday in Southbank and boy was it scorching hot!!
So what is Festival Malaysia? From its website "This festival aims to create an event for individuals interested in engaging with Malaysia and Malaysian themes through culture, art and music".
It's really for the Ozzies to get to know Malaysia better but there were more Malaysian students who came hehe.

There were a lot of programmes throughout the day like traditional dances, traditional music and multiracial music & dances. There were food stalls selling Malaysian food like, Satay..laksa sarawak, keropok and of course Durian (selling for $7.50 for a few pieces)! But the only reason I went was to see Harith Iskandar's live show hehe. His really funny!

Hans Isaac was there too but he didn't perform. There's another event happening in Melbourne, Australian Malaysian Festival Film at ACMI Cinemas from 2nd-6th Oct 2010. There are a few Malaysian movies like Rabun, Niyang Rapik and there was an acting workshop with Hans Isaac yesterday.

Here are some pictures taken despite the hot weather hehe.

Here is a short video of Harith's show, he talked about how Malaysians are. How we act in cinemas, how Malaysians drive and his marriage.

Camera Museum @ Michaels

I went to the city on Saturday just to see what's new in the shops and decided to have a look at this Camera Museum @ Michaels Camera. Here is the website Michaels.

It's free entry & you get to see all sorts of old cameras. All the well known brand were on display. This shop has been around since 1928, so the collection is quite huge and they have some really old cameras. There were really big cameras and some tiny ones used for spying I supposed. I loved the gold plated cameras especially Leica.
This shop also offers short courses for any photography enthusiast.

Here are pictures taken from the small museum.

On the way..

I had a very tiring weekend! While I was on the way for my groceries shopping last Saturday, I managed to snap some pics of the Election. Australians went to vote last Saturday & the result is a Hung Parliament. This hasn't happened since the WW2. Both parties Labor & Liberal are tied. So now both leaders are making deals with the independent MPs. Will be interesting to see who'll win and become the new ozzie PM. Here are some pics I took at my area polling station. It was at a church.

Then when I was on the way to switch trams, I found this cute busker.

Finally when I was on my way home, we both bought some sneakers from Foot Locker. It was a good deal 2 for $150. If you're in Australia, you should checked out the deal.

Ohh, and I bought this Iphone cover case from Havaianas. It's sooo cuteee!!

I'll never be the same again, If we ever meet again 'Katy Perry'

Although she might sing only 2-3 songs but still it's free. Wish Usher came to Melbourne instead of Sydney the other day. I don't know who's coming with me yet because door opens at 5.30 AM!! and must be inside by 7.15 AM!! Plus it's puasa already, if my friend & hubby not going then I might not go ;(

Till then, I need to practice on my Katy Perry's songs and moves.

I kissed a girl and I like it..oppppsss

p/s: this is my free pass, without the barcode of course hehe

Congratulations on receiving a ticket for Katy Perry's Sunrise gig.

A few things you need to know.

Signboards

While I was roaming around the city to take pictures, I stumbled on this alleway full with signboards. It wasn't 'No Entry' or 'No Parking' signboards. It was a word of wisdom alley, full with signboards with lots of sentences ehehe. I can't remember where was this place though.

oh and remember

and a checklist on the door of one of Myer's toilet.
