aaarrrggghhh, uhhhhh..what?!!! ********

As we all know, the worldcup has proceed to the last 16, knockout stage. South Korea has been knocked out by Uruguay. I thought the Red Devils dominated the game but couldn't score the goals!! I know it's so frustrating after having playing their heart out for 90 mins controlled the ball and still lose ;(

On the bright side, it was the first time the Koreans qualified for the next round in foreign soil. Did better than France and Italy...opppssss hahaha

Anyhow, this morning there was a major upset by the Germans. They thrashed England 4-1. So many fans are upset including my husband (he refused to go to work this morning haha) yet so many antis are celebrating their departure hahaa. They can blame the disallowed goal all they want but the real fact is that they defended poorly and put up a dissapointing performance throughout the wc.

I don't know about other football fans, I think this worldcup is the worst I've seen so far. From the location, the controversial Jabulani ball to the annoying Vuvuzela and the worst part is the refereeing. Poor.. very terrible decisions has been made. It ruined the 'beautiful game' of football. Both the england & argentina game this morning showed how poorly the referees are performing!!!! aaarrggghhhhhhh..let's hope the next 2 days matches won't be another victim of the referees!!!

So as of today quarter finals is URUGUAY VS GHANA & ARGENTINA VS GERMANY.

World Cup has just began :)

You know..

you're married when you start jumping up and down with excitement when you see houseware shop. yes i now know that I'm married ;p

Nowadays, I love going to houseware shop alone or with my husband. It brings excitement, the same excitement when I shop for shoes or bags. Before, it was Chanel or LV or Gucci..now it's Scanpan, Tefal, the Jamie Oliver collection and there's the MasterChef collection..endless brands!

You would want to buy the whole set of pots and pans, scratching the head to which brand to get. Then comes all those storage boxes, (my husband lovesssss to organise so he lovesssss all storage related items).

So yesterday, while we went to stock up on our junk food for worldcup, we went to a houseware shop called Let's Cook. Everything was on sale, too bad can't afford to buy the good quality pots and pans. So I settled with these ;)
too cute & cheap too!!

so cuteee, i likeee

matching polkadot mugs ;)

I don't mind if I get a plate or a mug or better, a set of scanpan pots and pans as a present hehehe

Meet Mr Smith

Meet Mr Smith, from Melbourne. Mr Smith is not a handsome guy like Brad Pitt, it's a street. Smith, Smith Street.

Smith Street is the junction between Collingwood and Fitzroy. The street is well known for it’s colourful vibrancy and it is an urban melting pot. You will find from factory outlets to quirky shopping experiences and items you can get nowhere else. Smith St has a website, you can refer here.

So I began my journey to Smith St by hopping on tram 86 from the city towards Smith St.

What's there in Smith St? There are factory outlets, plenty of cafes & restaurants & in Smith Street you will find buildings dating back to the 19th century. It's nice to see old buildings are still preseved and being used until now. Smith St, besides Brunswick, Fitzroy (which I will touch on later) is a nice, unique & worth a visit as the atmosphere is different from the city.
I'll let the pictures do the talking now.

i'm not too sure what kinda of happy herbs
they sell haha

In Smith St & Brunswick there are a lot of vintage/op-shops. not really my thing but worth having a look.

now i'm hungry...

do you love melbourne? :)

p/s: i was stopped by a guy who had the same camera as mine but hes got a better lense ;)

I want, I want!!!

Dear hubby,

There's only one thing that I want for the rest of the year (errr for now la ok?). I want Lomography Fisheye2 camera in pink colour !! It's only Aud160. Cheaper than your Nikon D5000 ;p

For those of you who don't know what does this camera do, it emphasizes casual, snapshot photography. Just like a normal camera that uses film. It offers 180-degree wide-angle view and stunning fisheye barrel distortion. If you don't know what 'fisheye' means, wikipedia says "In photography, a fisheye lens is a wide-angle lens that takes in an extremely wide, hemispherical image". So the pictures will look like this:

There's 10 golden rules for this camera:
  1. Take your camera everywhere you go
  2. Use it any time – day and night
  3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it
  4. Try the shot from the hip
  5. Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible
  6. Don’t think (william firebrace)
  7. Be fast
  8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you captured on film
  9. Afterwards either
  10. Don’t worry about any rules
Don't you want one??!!! I want!! I want!!!

AFL

For the first time ever, I went to witness an AFL match. 6 years in Perth, never once I was interested in AFL ehhe. So when my hubby got us free tickets, we've decided to go watch it. The match were between Western Bulldogs vs Brisbane Lions.

Without having any knowledge on afl, I actually enjoyed it. Hubby explained a bit about the game so I slowly understand the game. It's pretty exciting when you watch it live! Lions got hammered by bulldogs, so we actually went home before the game ended ehehhe. I would go again, if the tickets are free of course ;p

ZzZZZZzzzzzzzzz........

It's almost a week since I blog, thousands apologies. My internet connection is really slow plus the world cup has started!

Aaahhhhh, finally the wait has come to the end. The opening ceremony was ok.. although the synchronisation wasn't really nice ehehe. I find it weird for Shakira (the singer from Colombia) singing the theme song this year & alicia keys singing Empire State of Mind (New York?) at the Worldcup pre game party. Can't they find any africans singers singing other than love song?

Btw, My team South Korea beat Greece 2-0!!!! woohoooo! This thursday they are facing Argentina, tough match..let's hope the Koreans will do some magic wonders! korea hwaiting!!!

Anyways, I don't know if you've watch any worldcup matches on tv..there's one really annoying sound you will hear throughout the match. the VUVUZELA!!! damn, i hate that bloody thing, so freaking annoying!

This is the vuvuzela if you don't know, the ridiculously big sunglasses goes with it!

I haven't had proper sleep in few days, sighhh. More matches to come. Right now I'm going to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, nite nite all.

Ouch!

Aduiii, my feet is aching! Penat betul jalan2 shopping. I was out shopping for 3 hours ehehe. I went to my favourite place to shop, DFO = Direct Factory Outlet. When you are financially challenged or have no money to spend but have the urge to shop just go to discounted outlets! How I wish Malaysia have discounted outlets, imagine zara..topshop half price ehhehe

The nearest outlet closer to my place is at South Wharf, which is opposite Crown Casino. I brave myself to walk (to reach dfo it takes 5-7 mins by walking) as it was cold and foggy this morning.

tadaa! we've reached our destination!

inside dfo, left..right..left..right

sale, sale and more saleeeee

pepe jeans for $29!

tadaa!! 3 hours of hard work ;)

Winter time!

It's officially winter here in Melbourne. I love winter simply because I can't stand hot weather eventhough I've been living in Malaysia my whole life hahaha

Melbourne winter is colder than perth i reckon plus knowing how unpredictable the weather down here, it's essential to bring a pashmina/scarves and also an umbrella at all times! blerrggghhh...

Anyways, June is also known for its stocktake sale!! Satu bulan of half pricessss, woweeeeeee.say it with me woweeeeeeeeeeeee ;)
So I went out to the city to see what's on sale. Didn't like anything in Myer so went next door to David Jones. They renovated and now it look bigger and nicer. So off I went to Ladies department and tried on this.

It's a dress by Marc by Marc Jacobs, price from $700+ down to $279. Love it so much but can't afford it yet still thinking bout it! dammit ;(

Then I went up to shoes department, so many expensive shoes on sale. Thinking of getting this one. Available only in Red.

Tonite I shall dream of which one to buy and continue my shopping spree tomorrow ;)
