1st Anniversary

26-09-10, marking my 1st year wedding anniversary. Just a few million blinks and it's one year already. I had a great time celebrating the wonderful day with my husband eventhough it didn't go as smoothly as I wanted ;p

I gave my surprise the night before since someone couldn't wait to know hehe. This is what I gave (bought with his money hehe).

Camera Kit (includes a disposable camera & a book)

LOVE book

There were 2 items, one is Camera Kit (includes a disposable camera & a book) - the idea is to take picture with the camera & develope it & you stick the pictures to the book (i know so sweet kan haha). All items bought from Kikki K, they have nice stationery but very pricey.

Second item is a LOVE book. It's a book for you to express, confess & test your knowledge of your LOVE. In the book there are short questions like The first thing I noticed about you, A fond memory of our time together is... & you need to fill in the blanks and write an essay long answer if you want to.
There was one stupid question : One item of your clothing that belongs in the bin..? I don't get it!

Well, what I got in return was a card & a surprise delivery from The Fresh Flower Botak Man. A bouquet of red roses. My husband is too scared of buying me presents because he knows me too well. It's hard buying things for me. I might not like it, I won't use it if I dislike it hehe. So I'll settle with the flowers (for now la).
But he cooked me a good lunch.

Spaghetti Vongole

Later at night we had a lovely dinner in the city and ended the night early since there were Man Utd match & F1 hehe. What a wonderful day it was and I'm looking forward to more anniversaries in the future ;)

Selamat Ulang Tahun, Sayang

This sunday (26/9/10) will be my 1st year anniversary. Time flies so fast!! Felt like just yesterday I was getting all nervous and anxious to get married. Now, facing reality a year is passing us.

Me so jealous seeing newly weds..getting ready to get married, with all the new baju designs and pelamin decorations..i wish I did more on my wedding day hehe.

Now..getting back to reality..I'm more than happy to be married. 9 years of long distance relationship is so tiring, you have to decide whether to get married or end the relationship! I chosed marriage! ehehe

In the 9 years course of my relationship, I think the time we actually got to spent with each other was just 2-3 months. So it was awkward at first being able to be spend a whole day (everyday) with him ehhe. Now, that it's been nearly a year, my husband seem to be lost without me (as he claimed).

This is to you my hubby:

Thank you for loving and teaching me how to love unconditionally. Thank you for everything you've done for me. Thank you for all the laughters, cuddles, sweet memories and occasional fights ;) ..
Don't think I could ever find another one who will love me more than i love him
Happy 1st anniversary, Selamat Ulang Tahun..Sayang ;)
I love you.

p/s: Fahmi, I know you'll be reading this post & I still won't tell you what I bought. Just wait on Sunday & you'll get the surprise ;)

Honeymooning in Bali

I've just noticed that I haven't blog about my honeymoon. Since there's 38 more days to my 1st anniversary, I shall reminisce the aww-so sweet time I had during my honeymoon ;)

I went for my honeymoon a few days after I finished with my wedding (7th Oct-11 Oct). Bought my flight tickets during promo period hehe. My sister paid for my accomodation as a wedding present (thank you miss) and all I had to do was just to pick a place to stay.

So, there I was while preparing for my wedding, had to search where to go for my honeymoon..was so much fun looking at all nice honeymoon destinations. Since me & my husband had to travel back to Melbourne not long after the honeymoon, I decided not to travel far for the honeymoon.

I chosed to go to..

BALI!!! (If you've been to Bali, I'm sure this statue is the first thing you'll snap! ehehe)
I know Bali is so common for honeymooners but we both never been to Bali and it's near from KL.

I've booked a One bedroom pool villa for Dreamy Honeymoon Package at this private villa called The Elysian. It's located at Seminyak area, next door to KuDeTa. The way in to the villa is a tiny one way road. Don't know how the drivers drive through this small road!

From the moment we step off the airport, a staff was there to pick us up (included in the package). What a way to start our honeymoon. Bali at that time was really hot, hotter than Malaysia, I had pimples all over my face during my stay arrrghh!!

When we arrived at the villa, we were greeted with a drink and I got a bouquet of flower full with ants in it hehe. Then we were ushered to our room. The place is small but it was beautiful!
We got room no 26, it was quite far from other rooms, good for honeymooners hehe.

The first thing I did after settling in was, going online!! chatting with my family and showing them my villa haha. Jealous kan? hehe

Here are some of my private villa pictures by my photographer husband:

So many pictures to show hehe the room, the atmosphere and everything was wonderful except our first night there, our aircond went kapoot! We had aircond problem at all our hotel rooms during my wedding in Ipoh, Muar and now Bali. Had to use the fan for the night (the room was quite cool btw), so the next day we moved next door to no 25 and thank god the room was ok until we checked out.

The honeymoon package incudes daily breakfast in your villa if you want to, a special lunch and dinner as well as a spa for the couple. Oh boy, how ashamed were we when we went for the massage. Stripped down to only disposable panties (so malu!!) and finished off with a bath at the tub for the couple haha.

So I'm going to let these pictures do the talking now.

Jimbaran Bay
Tanah Lot
Cafe Bali served Halal food (hard to find Halal place in Seminyak so we ate here twice)
Kuta Square
Kuta Beach

My honeymoon was so memorable, the sweetest time I ever experienced and something worth to remember for life ;)

If you're going for your honeymoon, please choose a place that you know both of you will enjoy and have the sweetest time ;)

Also, bring more money..just in case you go overbudget like us and always print out the currency difference so you can refer to it when buying something.

8IGHT

It's 8 months of bliss (with occasional bitterness, of course ;P )
It's the longest time I've spent time with my husband. We've dated for 9 years & being apart from each other from ipoh-muar to perth-gold coast.

Happy 8th month sayang! I hope we'll have 80 more years or more together forever ;)

FIRST

Can't believe it's been a month already! We had a lovely night on the 26th celebrating our first month together ;)

My wedding 26/09/09

I've been ignoring my blog since I've gotten married. Been so busy with the wedding and the honeymoon and also moving to Melbourne. Yes, I'm in Melbourne already for more than a week. Life as a non-working housewife is so boring! Nevertheless, I shall try to be a good housewife ehehe. Anyways, this entry will be about the details of my lovely lovely wedding on the 26/09/09. My nikah started at 10.30am on Saturday and the reception was around 8.30pm. Me & my husband couldn't really remember what went on that day. The day passed us so fast, I'm still waiting for my pictures and videos so that I can remember what actually happened! ehhe
Syukur Alhamdulillah, after more than 6 months planning for it, my wedding went real smooth & the best part was everyone enjoyed themselves ;)

By the way, I had my tea ceremony done on the 25th, Friday since I'm half chinese and my aunties insisted on having it. No harm were caused as the couple will only receive jewelries & lots & lots of angpow's. But, before the bridegroom can enter the house, the bride's girlfriends or 'jie mui' will usually come out with a few games to test the groom. My sister's friends played 4 games. Fahmi kena mkn 4 flavors that is manis, masam, masin, pedas ehhehe. Kena minum 4 flavors juga, then kena nyanyi (which he gladly passed it to Najwa, lovely voice though) & kena cerita the story how he proposed ehehe.
If you don't know about the chinese tea ceremony, i'll explain more.
According to Wikipedia,
In the traditional Chinese marriage ceremony, both the bride and groom kneel in front of their parents and serve them tea. That is a way to express their gratitude. The parents will usually drink a small portion of the tea and then give them a red envelope, which symbolizes good luck.

You start by offering the tea to the oldest person in the family, which in my case my 'gong gong' or grandfather. Then dah habis bagi minum tea, it was my turn to give angpow's to budak2 younger than me.

So many things to write and so many pictures to show (i'm still waiting for the official wedding pictures). Since I'm married now, i need to cook for my husband before he comes home ehehhe. That's all for now, i'll shall continue posting more pictures later on. I'm glad all of my friend's who came to my wedding enjoyed it as much as I did! Thanks you all ;)
Oh, and special mention to Nini (my brother's friend) who did such an amazing job on my hantaran, bunga pahar & bunga telur!! and also cherish flowers who literally saved my wedding!! Heidi did such an amazing job in decorating flowers for my reception!!!

p/s: I would NOT recommend to anyone & everyone in Ipoh to take D'Aida Bridal as your pelamin decorator, well if you pilih je apa yg ada dlm photoalbum dia ok. but NOT if you want something BIG & EXTRAVAGANT! i had a TERRIBLE & MISERABLE experience with them both nikah & reception. a day before my event, diaorg boleh tutup phone & buat tak tau jer. next time jgn cakap besar if you can't do it! pastu dah sound, tolak salah pada pekerja..so typical malay la! i still tak puas hati sampai sekarang!

27 days...

It's been a very tiring week! Went to KL on wednesday & I got back on Friday. Intense shopping for barang hantaran. Never in my life that I shopped for 12 hours straight!! dah la puasa plus flu ;(

My day started with a trip to the jeweller to get my ring, ring didn't fit so need to make a new ring with 15 more diamonds to be added hehehe! Then went to Rizalman to get my pengapit's kain. Btw, Rizalman's newly renovated first floor is so cantek! Can't wait to do my fitting on the 10th.

We then made our way to MO Outlet. For your info, this Melium Outlet has all the brands that Melium Group carries.. for discounted prices, usually half the price from the original price. You can get real good bargain here, worth taking a trip to! Brands available eg Emilio Pucci, Tod's, stuart Weitzman, Furla and many more!

We then headed straight to KLCC & I bought 1 kaftan for my tea ceremony & 1 baju kurung for Raya from Ang Eng. It's chiffon and very comfy.

Our legs were so sore by now & our minds weren't thinking straight, nevertheless we drove to Pavilion to get my watch! yeayy!! Bad decision to leave KL at 5pm. It was raining & the traffic was so heavy. Took us 2 hours something to reach OU!!!!!!!
Luckily we managed to sampai & berbuka di BBQ Chicken, sedapp..

To all my friends, my wedding card is coming soon into your postbox. Do send back to me the RSVP card for attendance confirmation ;)

Today is exactly ONE more month before my wedding. I'm so nervous, mcm2 feeling ada..stress, nervous, scared semua ada..if anyone can give me advices on how and what should I feel before kahwin ;(

Today I'll be going to KL to do a LOT of things. First, to do fitting for my baju utk Muar's reception then will be collecting my cards later tonight. Feeling so anxious whether I'll fit the baju & how my card will turn out to be!!!

Tomorrow will be a hectic day, need to get all my barang hantaran and pick up my ringss yeayy!!
Hopefully I'll be able to settle a lot of things in KL. Can't wait to shop for baju raya yeayyy!!!

I'm ready to go right now, give me the green light, give me just one night ehehhee

Team Dina

On Monday, i went to see my wedding designer, Rizalman. From now on, I shall call everyone who is involve in my wedding as 'Team Dina' ehhehee. Sketches of my wedding baju were done nicely and i had my fitting taken by him, since his cutter went to London for holiday, boleh? ehehe

I will put up my sketches later sebab gambar ada kat phone fahmi. What I can say is I pick colour baju tu sama mcm baju Ekin (baju masa reception diaorg yg Arabian night tu). We're all so excited to see my baju, which will be done by September (lama giler nak tunggu ehheeh).
