Festival Malaysia 2010 in Melbourne

Went to Festival Malaysia yesterday in Southbank and boy was it scorching hot!!
So what is Festival Malaysia? From its website "This festival aims to create an event for individuals interested in engaging with Malaysia and Malaysian themes through culture, art and music".
It's really for the Ozzies to get to know Malaysia better but there were more Malaysian students who came hehe.

There were a lot of programmes throughout the day like traditional dances, traditional music and multiracial music & dances. There were food stalls selling Malaysian food like, Satay..laksa sarawak, keropok and of course Durian (selling for $7.50 for a few pieces)! But the only reason I went was to see Harith Iskandar's live show hehe. His really funny!

Hans Isaac was there too but he didn't perform. There's another event happening in Melbourne, Australian Malaysian Festival Film at ACMI Cinemas from 2nd-6th Oct 2010. There are a few Malaysian movies like Rabun, Niyang Rapik and there was an acting workshop with Hans Isaac yesterday.

Here are some pictures taken despite the hot weather hehe.

Here is a short video of Harith's show, he talked about how Malaysians are. How we act in cinemas, how Malaysians drive and his marriage.
